We currently produce world-class transmission components via gear grinding, polish grinding, gear hobbing, gear shaping, helical broaching, honing, ID/OD grinding, load-monitored pressing, and hard turning. Our manufacturing processes and proprietary tooling have proven capable of meeting the tightest of tolerances. Given our turning, cylindrical grinding, polishing and gear expertise, we’re able to manufacture the most demanding shaft designs at production volumes. We have produced over 8 million differential cases for customers around the world. Large envelope milling equipment, along with the flexibility of palletized part handling, allow us to be competitive in a variety of transmission related housings. Flexibility within our pallet pool system results in our ability to be competitive no matter what the volume or variant.
Our production and design teams benefit from the latest CAD/CAM software; 3D modeling; modern, flexible, and scalable CNC-based and manual machines; and performance-accelerating Zeiss coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs). Our internal tool room department can expedite any part-specific machining work we need to compress timing.

Since 1982, Systrand has specialized in precision machining. Over that time, high-performance gears and transmission parts have become increasingly important to the automotive industry—and to us. For the last decade, we’ve lived and breathed the NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) standards and requirements. Today, no other supplier can so reliably manufacture high-performance, high-precision transmission components.
Systrand was among the first U.S. manufacturers to supply high-precision hybrid and electric gears. We now have millions of hybrid and electric vehicle components in the field, while still producing millions of automotive gears, shafts, housings, and differential cases annually.
More importantly, we have the tools and processes in place to ensure that our transmission parts consistently perform to ever higher standards. Those processes include an advanced 100% noise signature analysis on all NVH critical components, capable of isolating ghost order noise and other extremely subtle sources of unwanted vibration.
